Sorry I've been MIA but I've been working & doing wedding things basically non-stop.  Tomorrow is the big day!  I hope it all pays off.  Best of luck to all the other Memorial Day Weekend brides out there!

I am FINALLY done with my pharmacy school classwork.  Yes, I still have a year of rotations, but I am done with tests!  Only my boards in another year...other than that I am done!  And free to plan my wedding in the next 2 weeks & 6 days...haha.

As promised, here are some more invitation pics!  I just realized I never took a picture of the outside, sealed up.  I will have to attempt to get one...

010 009 011 012 013

Of course these were 100% Gocco'd...except for the hearts on the "celebrate" card.  They were embossed in silver.  I still don't like them but I needed something to fill in the space and this was the best I could find.  As far as the RSVP card-I thought it was pretty obvious.  One name per line.  However, some people wrote "Mr. and Mrs. X" on the line, then circled both the chicken and the cow!  Some people were kind enough to draw arrows to each with their first names...others I just asked who wanted what.  I am putting it on the place cards or it wouldn't matter...

More wedding-related pics:

029 024 022 Keep in mind this is a cheap thing I got for $24 at ACMoore.  I just can't bring myself to pay over $100 for something I will wear one day.  FYI, it looks much better in person than in the pics.

Finally, I bought these to work on table numbers.  I can't be normal and have your basic paper letters, I have to have wooden glittery ones.  I found some pictures when I should have been studying of these gorgeous glitter covered wooden letters.  Mine will be similar to the following, only they will be in green and pink.Dsc_0010_edited1

030 Here are my numbers all ready to go!  Too bad they didn't have all the numbers I need...I will just have to recruit my mom to keep checking her Michaels and I will keep checking mine.  If nothing else, I will just get a different style.  Nobody will notice but me anyway.

The race is on...today is my last day of classes!  Unfortunately I have a year of rotations ahead but I still will be done with actual sitting in class & listening, tests, etc.  Also, the wedding is officially less than a month away and I have so much to get done!  I ordered this cool photofetti for the tables last night-now I am hoping that we are allowed to use it.  The circles are the size of rose petals so it should be ok.  I also ordered pink dye to dye my slip.  Below are some photos of my invitations as I made them.  I will post more of the final product later.  I never thought it would be such a project!  I guess making 200 of anything is a lot of work...207 206 205 197

Warning: Pure Rant

Why is it that when you have a wedding everyone thinks they have a right to be invited?  Themselves, their kids, their hairdresser, the person who waits on them at the checkout counter...seriously.  I am so excited not for the wedding, but for the wedding to be over so I can stop hearing about these f*cking people who want to come to the wedding that we don't even know!  The latest debacle is over this 12 & 15 year old who "aren't kids" and why aren't they invited, they were so excited for this wedding.  I don't know who they are!  If we invite them, we have about 30 other kids we'd have to invite.  At this point I am ready to just not go to my own wedding.  I am SO frustrated.  GRRRRRR!!!  There are still people we ourselves (who, mind you, are the ones actually paying for the wedding) would like to have invited but we didn't because our list was already at 300!  We have only received about 30 no's and there are about 80 floating around still...but seriously, am I crazy?  Wouldn't it make more sense to invite a few more friends whom we actually know & like rather than a couple random "non-kids" whom I currently can't stand even though I never even met them because they are making my life a living hell?  I have better things to worry about!  If I post about the finals I failed in another week, this will be the likely culprit!

Whew...it's been a pretty busy week and the next 2 are going to be even busier.  School is currently running my life.  I'm happy I've gotten some motivation back to study...a 78 kinda does that to you.  Anyway, I was super excited today when I called home and found out that we only got 2 RSVPs-two no's (good because we invited 300 people and that's a heck of a lot of money!) and two yesses-from my pediatric oncologist & his guest!  Originally I wasn't going to invite him because I felt if I invited him I had to invite the other doctors and nurses I had during my care...however other people convinced me this was not the case.  He was the main doctor who saved my life, and I could invite him without feeling guilty about not inviting the others.  I never thought he'd come-those doctors stay very busy at work.  However, we got his yes RSVP today.  I am so excited!

Another thing to be excited about:  we are getting a puppy!  He was born on Monday.  He will be 8 weeks old on June 9th but he is going to stay with his mom an extra 3 weeks to work on housebreaking while I am on my rotations.  We will be picking him up when he is 11 weeks old.  Without further ado, here is our yet-to-be-named puppy!

Isn't he precious?puppy

The next month is going to be crazy busy-only 36 days till the wedding!  I thought the day would never come.  My next projects are making favors, assigning tables, making place cards, making the unity candles, and making table cards.

Have a great weekend!
